Model: InterStar
Network Environment:
With IP Sharing Equipment/NAT Router
Overview
In general, InterStar needs a real and static IP
address to connect to the Internet. However, if
it is not applicable for you, alternatively you
can set up InterStar in a NAT
environment and perform port mappings on TCP 1100
port and UDP 1101 Port. With the deployment of NAT,
users who have limited IP address or use dial-up
ADSL or obtain a dynamic IP address automatically
from ISP will be able to use InterStar with an internal
IP address . As a reminder, if the required port
mappings are not completed, the problem of one-way
communication will occur.
Below please find two examples illustrating how
you can deploy InterStar in virtual IP networks
by using a NAT router, IP sharing equipment, or
a PC with two Network Interface Cards.
(Note:
NAT(Network Address Translation) : The function
helps to converts the IP address of each LAN (Local
Area Network) node to one Public IP address in the
Internet.
