SIP
(Session Initiation Protocol) is a new multimedia communication protocol.
It enables voice or other media types to be transmitted over the IP networks.
By using SIP, users may establish scalable and extensible IP-based communication.
To meet the growing demand for voice over IP, many operators and ITSP (Internet
Telephony Service Provider) start to provide SIP Trunk services, and many SIP phones
or SIP WiFi phones are introduced allowing voice to be carried over the IP networks
by using SIP protocol.
DSG's SIP Proxy is a full-featured proxy server. It allows your Blaze or Savanna
Series IP-PBX to get connected to operators' softswitch and to enjoy the
provided SIP Trunk services. DSG SIP Proxy can register the IP-PBX to your
service provider. All the extensions under the system, including DSG IP
extensions or third parties' SIP phones, can access the SIP Trunks to make
long-distance or international calls.
In addition to accessing SIP Trunks, DSG SIP Proxy is also a register
server allowing SIP end points to get connected to your Blaze or Savanna
Series IP-PBX. We understand that there are various types of SIP phones
in today's market; therefore, to meet different customers needs, you may
select the SIP phones you prefer, better yet certified by DSG, to be your
extensions. DSG SIP Proxy will register those SIP end points to your IP-PBX
and they will be able to initiate or receive calls just like other IP phones,
SoftPhones or analog phones in your system.
