The IP590 is an advanced IP phone with a large LCD display. The display area on IP590 is 6 lines by 21 characters per line with 4 soft keys and 4 line buttons. The IP590 has 9 programmable buttons and 9 function keys offering rich telephony features. It also comes with a message waiting indicator light at the top of the phone.

The large character-based 6x21 LCD display provides features such as time, caller ID, calling party’s name and number. Users can access to features such voice mail, direct call forward, redial, phone book, call records, flash and adjust volume right directly from soft keys and line buttons.

The administrator or users can program specific functions such as recording or trunk lines to programmable buttons using the web-based administration tool. The dedicated function keys come with IP590 include hold, transfer, redial, intercom, message, auto answer, DND, mute and a full-duplex speakerphone. The IP590 also supports IEEE 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet making it easy for deployment.
